Deliciously Sweet Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients for Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Cinnamon Swirl
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat the oven and prepare the pan
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
Mix the dry ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Mix the wet ingredients
In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
Add the dry ingredients
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Add the walnuts (optional)
If using, add the chopped walnuts and mix until just combined.
Prepare the cinnamon swirl
In a small bowl, mix together the light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted butter. Set aside.
Assemble the banana bread
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon swirl mixture over the top of the batter. Using a butter knife, swirl the cinnamon swirl into the batter. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and serve
Let the cinnamon swirl banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a cooling rack to cool completely. Slice and serve. Enjoy!
