Delicious Peach Galette Recipe

Peach Galette is a simple and delicious dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is a French-style tart made with sweet peaches and a buttery, flaky crust. Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 4-5 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons turbinado sugar

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pie Crust

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork. Place a piece of parchment paper over the crust and fill with dried beans or pie weights. Bake for 12 minutes. Remove the parchment paper and beans or weights and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes until golden brown.

Step 2: Prepare the Peaches

In a medium bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Stir to combine.

Step 3: Assemble the Galette

Place the peach mixture in the center of the pre-baked pie crust. Fold the edges of the crust up and over the peaches, overlapping slightly. Dot the top of the peaches with the butter and sprinkle with the turbinado sugar.

Step 4: Bake the Galette

Bake the galette for 30-35 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling. Allow the galette to cool before serving.

Serving Suggestions

The galette is best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It can also be served at room temperature with a dollop of freshly whipped cream.
